Texas legislation on immigration

The Texas Legislature meets once every two years on odd-numbered years. In January 2009, the Texas House and Senate will convene, but some legislators are at work already composing bills in what is sure to be a busy session.

Immigration has become an even bigger topic since the legislature was last in session, which is proven by the number of bills already written regarding immigration. The graphic below gives a synopsis of the bills written by Texas representatives and a senator thus far.
