Searching For Hope is a site that explores issues with body image and eating disorders, and how our culture is affected by media and society. Interviews with students and health care workers at Texas State University –San Marcos were conducted to see how college-aged men and women are affected. According to the National Eating Disorders Association, as many as 10 million females and 1 million males in the United States are diagnosed with an eating disorder such as anorexia or bulimia and millions more are struggling with binge eating disorder. We are faced with body issues every day, but there is hope for those who have gone to extreme measures of losing weight and need help. Recovery is possible.
