Eating Disorders

Compared to other mental illness, eating disorders have the highest mortality rate. Among college-aged women, 25% admitted to engaging in bingeing and purging in order to maintain or lose weight. These disorders can be hard to detect. People who suffer from these issues often try to cover up their illness from friends and family. If these issues are not treated correctly, matters can get worse. Another highly unknown body disorder is referred to as Exercise disorder, when people over-exercise, restrict calories and other extreme behavior in an attempt to achieve perfection. This disorder is hard to detect.
