Shopping on the islands

If you are anything like me, shopping is a necessary part of a great vacation. Luckily, Hawaii can provide just that. Whether you are looking to spend conservatively or spend lots, there are plenty of places in the islands to shop till you drop on any budget.

Budget-savvy shopper

Aloha Stadium

Aloha Stadium Swap Meet

The Aloha Stadium Swap Meet in Oahu is your best bet for finding all things Hawaiian at an extremely low price. The swap meet, held in the parking lot of Aloha Stadium, where University of Hawaii hosts their football games, has hundreds of stands. In fact, I would recommend doing a lot of your souvenir shopping here because the deals just can't be beat. There is a $1 entrance fee per shopper, and it's worth every penny.

ABC Stores

This chain of souvenir stores should be another stop on your shopping list. You can pick up Hawaii-themed T-shirts, leis, and plenty of macadamia nuts for cheap. They are located on every island in Hawaii.

Fashionista shopping spree

The Shops at Wailea

From surf wear to high-end couture, The Shops at Wailea have it all. If you are looking for an extra swimsuit or nice dress and handbag for a night out, you can find it here. The two-story open air shopping center has great dining as well.

Front Street

Located in Lahaina on the island of Maui, Front Street is the main drag in the town. The Pacific Ocean rims the street making for a gorgeous view as you shop till you drop. You can find surf shops for Hurley, Volcom, Roxy/Quicksilver, and others on Front Street and pick up one-of-a-kind swag.
